It’s contest time

I’m giving away a print copy of Dakota Cassidy’s book, You Dropped a Blonde on Me.

Just because I think she’s such a great author and you really should read her books. She’s such an inspiration to me. I devour her books whenever they come out. If you haven’t read anything by her, I think you’ll love it, that’s why I’m giving away a copy to get you addicted. :)

    My favorite books include: Karen Marie Moning’s Fever Series, Jeanine Frost’s Bones Series, and Larissa Ione’s Demonica Series. I’ve begun reading some of Rose’s books, and so far I’m loving Me and My Ghoulfriends. I need to get Ghouls Night Out, still!!! Wah. hehe :)

    Recently fallen in love with Linda Welch’s Demon Whispering series, absolutely in love with the heroine as she deals with her ability to see and speak to the shades of those who’ve violently passed- her latest book Demon, Demon Burning Bright was absolutely shocking and brilliant!
    Oh and for a great witchy-series Mindy Clasky’s Jane Madison series is sweet and spicy! Burned through my Amazon giftcard buying up all of her books!

    And now to wait kinda-patiently for the next Mystic Cafe novel! :-)

    Favorite books, well anything by Rose Pressey, you might know her ;o) the Jane Yellowrock series by Faith Hunter, Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs, anything by H.P. Mallory, The Lawson Vampire series by Jon Merz, anything by Cameron Judd, Kitty series by Carrie Vaughn, Delilah Street series by Carol Nelson Douglas, anything by James Alexander Thom, James Michener, anything by James Jakes. Way too many to even start to list. I’m a very fast reader, I’ve read a book every day or two since I was a kid, I’m 43 so I’ve gone through A LOT of books.

    My favorite right now is Yasmine Galenorn. I love her otherworld series, however I’ve read all of her books (she used to write under the pen name India Ink) and they’re all wonderful. As she is between books, I’m reading other faves as they come out, like Janet evanovich, Kim Harrison, Juliet Blackwell, as well as discovering new names to me such as HP Mallory, Madelyn Alt, yourself and many more.

  15. The best one I’ve read lately are by V. Mark Covington (Montezuma’s Revenge and Homemade Sin, et al.) I love comedy.

    My all time favorite is Pride and Prejudice. I pick it up every once and a while. Lately I’ve been reading thru a whole bunch of series from various authors including Lora Leigh, Victoria Alexander, Stephanie Laurens, Sarah McCarthy and others. I also love Amanda Quick/Jayne Castle/Jayne Ann Krentz, Christina Dodd, Maya Banks, Agatha Christie, Elizabeth George and Shayla Black are a few I’ve kept up with for years. I have almost all of their books. :) My book pile is always huge. LOL

    Hmm favorite reads, that would be of course the accidental series, and Kiss and Hell (LOVED that book) anything vampire-esk; dark and snarky — either work great!! eden bradley, crystal jordan, lara adrian, michelle rowen, mary hughes…etc… and now I’m looking forward to checking out some work by Rose P!!

    Where do I start!! I will just list the books I read the most often so I don’t bore you with the hundreds of books I love. Jane Austen’s Persuasion is my favorite classic book. Shel Silverstein’s Where the Sidewalk Ends is my favorite book of poetry. I LOVE Dakota Cassidy’s The Accidental Vampire (the other accidentals are amazing too!). Rose Pressey’s Rylie Cruz series is a must read. Dime Store Magic by Kelley Armstrong is my fave of that series (I have read them all). I can go on forever but I figured these show my taste in literature. Smut & Paranormal!

  29. Seven months ago I could have rattled off a dozen names of favorites. However, illness has changed me. Now, I’m reading up to seven books every week. Sometimes two a day. My favorites are changing so fast I can’t keep track. My book purchases for last year were over two hundred and I posted bunches of reviews for the ones I loved. It’s so exciting to find a new “auto-buy” and then go in search of their back list. My cancer is in remission, but my reading is growing!

  31. I’ve not yet read any of Dakota’s books, but do have “Accidentally Dead” very near the top in my TBR pile! I love her on Facebook – she’s always got something interesting to share. I’d have to say based on that – and what I’ve read on the back of Accidentally Dead – that her books are a scream! Would love to win “Blonde” but am happy to start “Accidentally Dead” sometime soon! : )

    in the past few months i have discovered the Beautiful Creatures books, (The Caster Chronicles) by Kami Garcia and the Harry Dresden File books by Jim Butcher. These books are fun, unique, and can lift my spirits when I’m feeling down.
    In my more serious reading time I have recently read Child 44 by Tom Rob Smith and The Zookeeper’s Wife: A War Story. They were both books in genres I would not normally read but I liked them both and recommend them highly.

    Ever since Dakota turned me on to your books, Rose, I have read Rock ‘N’ Roll is Undead, How To Date A Werewolf, and Me & My Ghoulfriends. Can’t wait for How To Date A vampire and No Shirts, No Shoes, No Spells!! I have read all Dakota’s Accidental and Hell books and since I have roughly 900 books in my paranormal library at he present time, my other favorite authors are legion. Thank God for eBook readers, sure take up a lot less space than physical books. Have about 600 additional books on mine.

    I loved your book How To Date A Werewolf the name Get A Mate Dating Service alone had me giggling throughout the story and the characters are lovely. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

    There are so many books that I love it’s so hard to pick a favorite so I’ll give you a few. I have always loved Stephen King. My newest favorites of his are 11 22 63 and Lisey’s Story. But I love everything of his. I’m also loving everything by S.L. Naeole. I buy anything she puts out. The same with Rose. My favorite so far has been Rock ‘n’ Roll is Undead. Just adore Veronica!

  44. I have two all time favorite books. “The King Must Die” and “The Bull from the Sea” by Mary Renault. You should know that I’m a rereader and I’ve read both of these books over 40 times each! They tell the tale of Theseus; King of Athens from his point of view, starting from when he’s a little boy. The story weaves his myth and the ancient world of Greece together beautifully and every time I read these books I feel like I’m there. I laugh, I cry, and I see things that a first time reader wouldn’t notice!!!

    I have a lot of faves. I would definitely recommend the Demonica & Lords of Deliverance series from Larissa Ione. Other authors that I love include: Lynsay Sands, Kerrelyn Sparks, Katie MacAlister, and so many others.
